PAINMUSEUM Sign Brazilian Deal For 'Metal For Life'
April 20, 2006PAINMUSEUM, the band formed by the HALFORD duo of "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (guitar) and Bobby Jarzombek (drums),has signed with Brazil's Rock Machine Records for the release of the band's debut album, "Metal for Life". A tentative late July release is expected.
"This Sao Paulo-based label brings us what we need most — determination and the ability to solidly distribute and promote the album," said Mike in a statement. "They have been the leading CD distributor in Brazil throughout a series of their metal CD shops and their label arm has been developing over the last few years with releases of solid product. It is without doubt an important step for us to be officially available in Brazil as we all know Brazilians are not only crazy about soccer but they also love their metal with a passion. My two visits to Brazil when HALFORD played Rock In Rio in front of 350,000 people and the more recent nearly sold-out tour with SEBASTIAN BACH were some of the most memorable experiences I have had as a metal musician."
"Metal for Life" features Chlasciak, Jarzombek, Steve DiGiorgio (SADUS, DEATH, TESTAMENT) and newcomer Tim Clayborne. Mixing duties were performed by Roy Z (JUDAS PRIEST, HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON),with mastering by James Murphy (DISINCARNATE, DEATH, TESTAMENT). "Metal for Life" also features additional vocal performances from Joe Comeau (TAD MOROSE, OVERKILL, ANNIHILATOR).
In related news, Metal Mike and Tim Clayborne will be special guests at the 20th annual NY Kiss Expo and Hard Rock Convention on May 6 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secaucus, NJ.
